For the second of my festive outfit posts in collaboration with Boden I had in mind a Christmas workwear ensemble. At this time of year, its all too common to go straight from work to seasonal celebrations and so I wanted to reflect that in one of my choices. In an ideal world, there would be time to go home, get changed and glammed up – but I know that many of you, like me, will be going straight from the workplace to socialise this December. Here’s what I’ll be wearing to take me from “office” (classroom, in my case!) to festivities.
The Claudia midi dress is my new workwear go-to. Made from ponte jersey fabric, the tailored midi dress with its high boat neck and midi length is workwear-appropriate, with its flattering fit-and-flare shape. The contrast panels add a fun touch too; I do like my work dresses to have a bit of personality too. To take me from desk to dancing, I’ll be making things dressier by matching my dress with the aptly named poinsettia red Hereford coat, made teddy bear-worthy tactile fleece. It’s the closest you’ll get to wearing your dressing gown outside the house – which if, like me, is where you might rather be – will be all too comforting! I’d like to think Mrs Claus would agree.
