Week three of the #myodetoautumn Hashtag Challenge starts today. You can see last week’s round-up here and the first set of prompts here. I’m thoroughly enjoying seeing the gallery evolve as we head into late Autumn at a rapid rate. I couldn’t resist the frost-covered frozen leaves, above, on the most beautiful frosty Autumn morning last week. My Autumnal nesting instinct has clearly kicked in in a big way, with cosy knitwear, bread making and apple picking to name but a few things on my grid. Plus obligatory door shot, of course! I’ve been enjoying the contrast of snow and orange leaves in some of your pictures; I’m all about savouring the seasons and working on this project has made me slow down and notice the seasonal changes as the dying embers of Autumn make way for Winter. We’re definitely on the cusp…
So without further ado, the letters for this week are:
M – Mist (I got ahead of myself, missed a letter and posted this last week so it’s your bonus letter to post as you wish!)
N – Nature Table (foraged finds)
O – Opting Outside (Autumn adventures)
P – Pies (Autumn is officially comfort food season!)
Q – Quiet (because there’s something about that Autumn stillness – thanks to Kate for the suggestion)
R – Reading (the perfect season to nest indoors with a good book)
S – Scarves, mittens, hats… (wrapping up warm).
Ideas for T – Z most welcome, especially V and X! See you with an update next week, and in the meantime here are some more of my favourites from the gallery over the past week – linked in the images and Instagram handles below. Keep sharing your pics of Autumn loveliness with the hashtag #myodetoautumn and I’ll feature my faves again next week!
1 – @lydiacornock; 2 – @juliarkendal; 3 – @hilarygrantknitwear; 4 – @aplayfulday 5 – @anna.et.astrum; 6 – @welliesandlove
