Regular readers of Everything Looks Rosie will find it no surprise that Autumn is my absolute favourite season. So much so that I started my own hashtag on Instagram, #myodetoautumn to share all the things we love about Autumn. I’ve been overwhelmed by the response of so many like-minded souls: the gallery is a beautiful collection of images celebrating the best of the season and surpassed 1500 tags at the weekend. That’s a lot of Autumn love! Sometimes it feels as though once Bonfire Night has passed, we’re straight onto Black Friday and Christmas, so last November in a bid to live more seasonally and slowly, I started the #myodetoautumn hashtag challenge. I’m reviving the A-Z prompts again this year: each week there will be a set of prompts that you’re welcome to use to inspire your Instagram pictures – you can use some, all or none. There are no hard and fast rules, just an excuse to keep celebrating Autumn until December is at our door!
So, starting tomorrow with A, All Hallow’s Eve, and ending with Z for zzzz (hibernate), there will be prompts Monday to Saturday each week, with Sunday left for freestyling or a break! I’ll share the prompts each Monday alongside my favourite snaps from the tag that week here and in my Instagram Stories. So without further ado, here are the prompts for week one:
A – All Hallow’s Eve (pumpkins and Halloween celebrations)
B – Botanical beauty (look to the natural world for inspiration)
C – Crafting (Autumnal crafternoons are my favourite!)
D – Doors of Autumn (think colours, seasonal wreaths…)
E – Evening light (golden hour is something pretty special just now!)
Happy snapping – can’t wait to see what you come up with. The pictures in this post are from my Autumnal Laura Ashley Instagram takeover two weeks ago – you can also read my most recent guest post for their blog here. The tartan throw, flask, bag and bedding are very kindly c/o.
